Pharmapod sign agreement with Trinity College Dublin

September 2nd, 2015 | In Resources

Pharmapod are proud to announce the signing of an agreement with Trinity College Dublin which will see its Incident Management and Learning System being launched in Trinity this coming academic year for use throughout the pharmacy degree programme.

Pharmapod will provide Trinity students with the latest innovation in recording and analyses of medical error data and provide hands on experience of the technology that is fast becoming the industry standard in pharmacy practice. The agreement aims to maximise dispensing performance for Trinity’s Pharmacy students and ultimately help inform their processes and practice as Pharmacists of the future.

Mena Eskander, a Trinity College Scholar and recent Trinity Pharmacy graduate (pictured second from left), is working with Pharmapod as project manager on its international expansion.
“In many ways, the habits we get in to in university hold strong for life. Pharmacists are encouraged as early as possible in their careers to record and critically review their errors as well as share learnings of medicines and risk with their colleagues and peers. Trinity College recognise the importance of this early fostering of a no-blame culture of patient safety and we are delighted to have the opportunity to work together.”

“Patient safety is our priority. This agreement with Pharmapod supports the development of a positive patient safety culture amongst our student cohort, which in turn contributes to the professional development of ever safer pharmacists and practice for the future.”

“The School of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences collaborates with many pharmacy-related companies and from the outset recognised the innovation and quality in Pharmapod’s work. We are pleased that the fruits of our collaboration will be shared with our students and that this will ultimately benefit their patients.”
Prof. Anne-Marie Healy, Head of School of Pharmacy & Pharmaceutical Sciences
